My Journey Into Counselling
My path into counselling grew from my own curiosity about what it means to be human, with all our messiness, contradictions, and capacity for change. I believe that no one is broken or in need of fixing. We are all human, carrying stories, wounds, and hopes that shape who we are.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent years working in healthcare and management, always drawn to supporting people during times of vulnerability and uncertainty. This experience taught me the value of truly listening and being present with someone during difficult moments.
I've worked in NHS Talking Therapies, supporting people through anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, and the quieter struggles that are often harder to name. This work has deepened my understanding of how therapy can offer hope and healing, even in the darkest of times.
As a BACP counsellor, I adhere to a strict code of ethics in my work with clients. I also attend regular supervision and make sure that I am providing the best possible care for my clients through regular CPD.
